Day 12: Oct 29, 2025 – Departure
The Route: Kathmandu → Home
Altitude: 4,600 ft / 1,400 m
“Goodbye Nepal”
We left Nepal with tired bodies, sun-kissed skin, and congested lungs, but our hearts were overflowing. What a journey it has been..!!! Months ago, we weren’t even sure we could attempt this trek, and now here we were—having stood at Everest Base Camp.
We are forever grateful to the Sherpa support team, whose quiet strength carried us through, to our friends and family for their constant encouragement, and to the mountains themselves, whose weather seemed almost perfectly aligned with our plans.
The camaraderie, the laughs, the shared struggles, the awe-inspiring views—everything combined to make this truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. And yes, all of us are already dreaming about doing it all over again.
Note to the Mountains: Day 12
Today you reminded us that
endings are beginnings in disguise.
Though we depart your land,
your lessons, silence, and majesty remain within us.
Your trekkers, signing off… until you beckon us again .
